Poetry is thoughts that breathe, and words that burn.

Words burn ? Not always !

I think poetry is when the thoughts speak to each other when no one is listening.

Do you write poetry anyhow ? Just a thought.
Hopped in from Suruchi's blog.

hey cinderella, thanx for commenting!!...thats just a perspective, I think in a way, there is no particular definition of most of things, as it varies from person to person, thought to thought, and by the way, its not even my thought, its of an English poet, Thomas gray, and really felt these words and hence posted it!!

and no , I dont write poetry stuff, I dont think my words are mellifluous enuf to take form of something as gracious and beautiful as a poetry, I think ur frnd suruchi can do that!!:)

I really dont know the deep feelings the poet is trying to express over here, but wat I am guessing is that, the thoughts that breathe within u, are very much alive as you are, and on basis of this life, liveliness in you with combination of words with burning desire, deep touch, and bright light of feelings is the thing which makes a poetry, and whether its love or hatred, its a light burning within you!!
